The First Newcastle ministry was an administration running from the Duke of Newcastle's appointment as First Lord of the Treasury and Chancellor of the Exechequer on 10 January 1745 until it was dissolved in January of 1749, when Newcastle formed an entirely new ministry, in coalition with The Earl Grey
